The Day After

The kids just went down for a nap. It’s not something they do all the time, but it’s nice when I need them to. Dylan will crash almost instantly and most likely Emily will get up in a little while. She either falls right asleep or forget about it. We’ll see.

Laura had to work 12-3 today. Covering half a shift for someone. Bummed she had to go in, but it’s only a few hours so all is good. A few extra dollars is never a bad thing right?

X-mas was good to me. Laura got me a new easel. paints and brushes along with a set of dumbbell weights. Of course she ONLY got me the weights, not realizing that the box didn’t have the bar as well. So I’ll swing by the store tomorrow to pick up a couple of bars so that I can actually use them. I’m also hoping to try out the easel tomorrow as well.

I think she liked the clothes I got her. She wore one of the sweaters yesterday and a shirt today. That’s a good sign that she doesn’t hate them. :)
I’m loving this moment of silence. The kids were Grandparent Wired this weekend which is what happens anytime any grandparents gets around them. Parents out there will totally understand what I’m talking about. It’ll be nice to have them come off their high.

Tonight we are going to watch Marry Poppins. The kids kept seeing the advertisements for the new DVD so I picked up a copy. Who knew it was a 2 hour and 20 minute movie! That’s why we didn’t watch it last night.

Leftovers and Marry Poppins sounds like a good way to enjoy the early evening tonight.
