Dark Day
I just watched a trailer for a new documentary called “The Ground Truth” about the war in Iraq. What looks really interesting about this is that it focuses directly on the troops in the voice of the troops. That intrigues me and makes me want to see it.
I keep watching the videos and shots of the devastation in Asia. Currently 67,000+ dead (depends on which report, which number you get) and I’m positive that number is going to go way up. To grasp that concept is impossible to me.
Seeing the satellite images blew my mind. If you haven’t seen them this is what the coast looked like just before the wave. Then look at it after the first waves hit. Proof that Mother Nature can be one mean bitch when she wants to be. The destruction is beyond anything we’ve ever seen. I just don’t know what to say.
Talk about a downer post this morning. Guess it sort of reflects my mood. We’ve been talking about filming for weeks and now we are not so that has me bummed out. Then the minute we decided not to film everyone had other things to do. I completely understand, but I am still bummed out since I would have loved to see everyone. Hopefully Vacc and I will be able to get together today and film a quick scene and hang out a bit. We’ll see what happens.
