What 2 Do Sunday
My iPod is dead and I’m not happy about it. Earlier this week I noticed my battery indicator was way low. So I plugged it in. The little charging thing showed up but it wasn’t really charging. I read all the tips online. Tried them all and no dice. So yesterday I headed into the Apple Store. I had about a half hour wait to see someone but I just played with one of their huge 30″ dream screens (damn are they pretty) and a G5. Talked movie making with one of the sales kids.
When I finally got to see someone he plugged it in and tried all the same things I did. Yuppers, that puppy is DEAD! They didn’t even blink and said they’d give me a new one, but they had none in stock so I have to wait 3-4 days. Blargh! I’m going to go insane listening to corporate radio. I haven’t listened to the radio in over a month. Yuck! Oh well….I’ll get by and survive I’m sure. But, I’m going to be out of the loop on podcasts since I always listen during my commutes.
Got Laura a new computer yesterday. The one she had that I had acquired long ago from my company was dying a slow death. Ran down to Best Buy and grabbed an eMachine. For what she does it’s perfect. The kid kept trying to sell me on more and I just told him “go get me a box so I can get out of here.”
So right now Emily is at a playdate at her friends house. Laura is setting up a VPN connection for work on her computer. Dylan is painting his latest masterpiece and I’m blogging while I figure out what to do next. Typical Sunday morning around here. Except I’ve got the urge to be doing yard work. But, with a frozen yard there isn’t much to do! *laugh*
And, because it’s the month of new things in the house our dishwasher arrived and was installed yesterday. SOOOO nice not to have to do dishes! But, it really hasn’t hit me yet. I know it will after I make a big dinner and don’t have to do the dishes. Then the reality will sink in.
Oh, if you like Tori Amos, I got her new CD in the mail. It’s VERY good. I wasn’t a big fan of her last couple of CDs, but this one is really damn good. I listened to it over coffee and the Sunday Globe and it passed with flying colors.
