I love Roxie, but yesterday she scared the shit out of us.

When our dog sitter opened the door Roxie came running out all freaked out. That’s when Heidi noticed that the house was full of smoke. Turns out that Roxie got curious about the new wok I had just seasoned on the stove and tried to check it out and in the process somehow turned on ALL the gas knobs on the stove and got one of the burners actually lit under the wok so it was smoking all over the place.

I can’t believe how dangerous this could have been and how lucky we are to still have a house and a dog.

We had a fire my senior year of college. We lost pretty much everything and it’s not something I ever want to go through again so it really freaked Laura and I out even though when we got home you couldn’t tell anything happened except for the smell.

Needless to say Roxie won’t be running around the house loose along any more.

I still can’t believe she did that!
