What a Great Time

Dover, NH was amazing. I had never been there before and it’s a cool little town. Typical New England town that hasn’t been over modernized yet. It’s got a really cool downtown that you can walk around and totally enjoy.

It was great to just chill with Jay. I don’t remember the last time we did that without at least a little bit of weird vibes and there was none there which was awesome.

We chilled at his house and then hit their comic store. I’m so jealous of what he and Sheri are doing. Taking a shot at it. Chasing a dream. That rocks.

Sitting around the store talking about some things it was funny because I pointed out some things that he hadn’t thought of before. Always good to know that the business brain is still turning.

We walked around town for a bit and then chilled by the river at this restaurant that I believe was called Kelly’s Row or something like that. Just two guys, a couple of seafood baskets, cold beer and great conversation. Mitch and Sheri joined us later. It was great.

Later we hit the Brickhouse for the show. Tons of free time before hand so me and the band had some drinks and I got to listen to gig horror stories which was a blast.

The location rocked. Great sounds system even if they did have it way to loud for the night. Plus, the opening band cancled so Now is Now got to do three full sets. Out of 35 or so songs I think they should be able to get 17 for a CD. Can’t wait to check it all out.

Then crashed at my sisters and we got up and went to this new place for breakfast. I had something called “The Gut Grenade.” Take an english muffin. Smother it in hash. Plop three eggs on top of it and then cover the whole thing in sausage gravy. Serve with a side of yummy home fries and a pot of coffee and you’ve got a damn good time. I couldn’t even finish it.

A GREAT weekend and now it’s Sunday. This extra weekend day during the summer is so nice!
