It Only Takes 1
I just had a nice long skype chat with a friend of mine. All typing and text, but it really helped me out of a funk that I was in even though I posted this morning about not being there.
But, after going back and forth while multitasking with everything else going on in the office today I realized that things are ok, they are getting there and if they don’t get there I’m the guy that always talks about rolling with it and just going down a different path.
The fact that I keep walking by paths that are being offered to me and then thinking “Hmmm….that sucked that I had to walk by” is not the way to do it. I’ve got to remember those paths and if the one I’m on now gets too bumpy I can always just loop around and pick up on those others. Works in the mountains so why not in life?
Got the latest edition of “Don’t Make Me Think: A Common Sense Approach to Web Usability” in the mail. I took part in giving back feedback on the first edition so I got this one signed and for free. I haven’t read it yet, but this book is amazing. It boils it all down to the most simplistic of reasons. Steve Krug, the author, is great. If you ever get a chance to see him speak I highly reccomend it.
