When Will the Rain End?
Guess what the weather is in Boston? Yup, it’s still wet, cold and grey out there. Par for the course this week.
I ordered my new iPod (in black of course) and I can’t wait to get the notice that it shipped. I had to splurge a little bit and get the bigger version because I know with the new video capability it’s going to fill up very quickly. I’ve always been skirting the edge with my 20 GB with just music and podcasts so the 30 GB model would certainly be full almost instantly with the video.
Of course this has me thinking of the video angle of everything. Having made movies for almost 10 years with Random Foo I’ve got the equipment and the ideas, but the time just isn’t there. Dan and I always talked about doing a web serial and you know those are going to be coming to podcasts in no time. And how long until we have some hot couple at home vlogging their bed room? It’s coming. You know it is.
I’m loving the video diaries for Passion of the Clerks. Best part about these is that finally a director has figured out to put up a feed so that you can actually subscribe to it. About time someone figured this out. I know that Steve Garfield and I had this conversation about some of the other director diaries going on out there a couple months back.
Laura and I are playing hooky from work. We’ve got the furnace getting a tune up this morning and I’ve got a meeting in Boston tonight with a promoter who I’m hoping to hook up with to book some gigs around Boston.
I’ve also got a bunch of audio to record. Everything from a promo to help sell a Rob Costlow piano, to audio segments for Pop!Tech and Sirius. Yup, it’s going to be a busy but great weekend.
