You go to bed at 1:30 am and can’t fall asleep for some reason.

At 6 am your wife shakes you to tell you the basement is flooded.

Seems that the whole town is a bit wet. Nothing like up in NH, but still the streets are a bit insane. Instant ponds everywhere.

Thank the gods for the sump pump. It’s cranking out and most of our stuff was up and off the floor. The backyard though is like a big bowl with a sponge in it. The spunge is blocking the drain and full of water so the water has no where to go.

Roxie thought it was pretty cool to have a pool in our backyard now. She was having a blast.

For those of you “in the know” the water is above the first step at the bottom of the deck. Yes, thankfully I have a nice tall pair of Bean Boots!

Update: Just watched the local weather. My town got 6 INCHES of rain last night. No wonder shit is flooded. When I went to bed it was raining, but I had no idea. When I went to Lowe’s to buy some new rubbermaid bins there was water everywhere. It was weird, but I keep reminding myself that it’s NOTHING compared to what is going on elsewhere.
