Biddies & Butchers

Last night was a cool Friday night.

Vacc and I hooked up and had a great dinner at Christopher’s in Porter Square. I had this amazing burger on an English muffin. I’m still thinking about how good it tasted washed down with a Magic Hat Jinx. MMMMMmmm!!!

Gangsta BiddiesThen we headed over to the Lizard Lounge for the show. My girls, the Biddies were playing and they were psyched for me to check out the other act as well.

As always the girls delivered and put on a great show. The crowd was really into it and even though Deidre was feeling way under the weather you wouldn’t know it from her performance.

After they were done the Candy Butchers took the stage. Lee Ann had told me to be ready for an amazing band, but I had no idea. I hear a LOT of music these days so it takes something really special to make me speechless and these guys did. One acoustic guitar plus one snare drum with feather brushes plus amazing songwriting and vocals and you’ve got these guys. WOW! Backstage we talked about podcasting and we’re going to do some fun stuff so I’m psyched.

A highlight of their set was a really rocking guitar solo and I looked and saw Amanda with this near “cat ate the canary” grin on her face as she totally enjoyed it.

And I can’t forget the beautiful Saskia (they are all beautiful) who seemed happier then ever. She had a couple of really great little solos that I loved. She’s going to Cambodia and I’m jealous. She better share pictures!

So, as you can see from the words and the pictures it was a damn fun time. Hanging out with the girls was an added treat and I don’t know how someone could not fall in love with them. Put their amazing talent and chemistry aside and you still have 4 smart, sexy and fun going women that you can’t help but smile when around. And they give killer hugs too!!!

I hope that their ride in the “cock on wheels” up to Burlington and then back down to Providence before heading on back to NYC is a safe one.
