FINALLY got together with Dan last night. We’ve been trying to for a long time and ended up scheduling several weeks out so that it wouldn’t get missed. Met up at Sal’s which I haven’t been to in a long time. Still my favorite place for a cheesesteak in the area. Good stuff.

Of course the highlight of the night was giving him the guitar in this picture.

It was a special gift for special reasons. Dan has done a lot for me on Accident Hash, but it’s also a combination X-Mas and “dude your going to be a dad” gift. Plus, if you don’t know I’m the type of guy who loves to give to others so I’ve been itching to do this for him now for a while and I’m looking forward to him making music on it. THAT’s the key in all this. New music.

We talked about a lot of things last night. About our personal goals for the coming year and where things have been and they are going. It’s the type of conversation that I love to have. Especially with my cohort like last night. I came away wired and inspired. It’s the pickup I needed.

Of course now it means I’ve got to get doing some of the things we talked about. Thankfully I have the week between X-Mas and New Years off and I plan to work my tail off during that time to lay the foundation of some of these ideas.
