The End of 2005

It’s the last hours of 2005. We’ve made it past noon so it’s the home stretch.

I cleaned the house yesterday so we don’t have to do that today. We are pretty much chilling and having a good time. I think we just decided that the X-mas tree will come down today. Tonight it’ll be Champagne and chill time. Laura has to work in the morning so it won’t be a late night.

The Love Spirals are spinning on the stereo right now. I’m completely in love with this disc. Not my usual cup of tea, but for background chill out music it certainly does the trick. Plus listening to Anji Bee is NEVER a bad thing.

So what are my goals for 2006? Just a few really.

  • Redo this site. It needs a facelift and a new focus.
  • Get back to a healthier lifestyle. No hard core diets, but back to paying attention to exercise and food levels. I was doing so good and I miss it.
  • Learn to play the guitar. Yeah, I say this every year, but it’s different. Soon I will have an electric. There just isn’t any fighting. I need something new to noodle with
  • Launch www.podsafecollective.com
  • Holda Podsafe Music Night in Boston. Minimum of 1. The goal is 3

Looking ahead it’s going to be a great year just based on things I already know are going to happen. Late summer I’ll be checking one thing off my “must do before I die” list when Dad and I dip our paddles for 7 days in the Boundary Waters. It also looks like trips to Seattle, Austin, California, Wisconsin and Idaho might be in the mix as well. Might be the biggest amount of travel ever for me, but some of them might not happen so who knows.

Last year when I looked upon the turning of the clock to a new year I had no idea of the people I’d meet, the new friends I’d make and the adventures I’d take. Looking forward this year I have an idea of what will happen, but what surprises and roadblocks await me? That is what makes life interesting because you just never know.

Happy New Year everyone.
