What a Week!

Ok, so this past week was a pretty damn good one filled with all sorts of cool things happening and coming to light.

  • I booked my tickets to hit Seattle at the end of February to attend the Podcast Hotel. Had a great chat with Alex about my presentation, the events that will be going on and the overall vibe of the weekend. I haven’t been this excited about something in a long time. It’s EXACTLY the type of weekend I’ve wanted for a long time. So many like minded people in one place. I can’t wait.
  • I have an intern for Accident Hash now. Her name is Lauren and she is a senior at BC. We are trying to hook up for a little face-to-face time this week. Virtual is find and dandy, but there is a line. *grin*
  • I subscribed to the new magazine ID3 as soon as I found out about it. I mean, how could I not? A print magazine all about podcasting! That’s going to be cool. Then I get an e-mail from the editor thanking me for the subscription and after some e-mails and a Skype call guess what? He asked me to serve on the Editorial Board for the magazine. I was psyched and of course said yes and signed the contract. I’m also going to be writing for the magazine which is something I’ve always wanted to do more of.
  • Gold Medalist

  • Dylan turned 7. My little guy is growing up and while every step closer to being a teenager scares me because I know that means the “I hate my dad” phase will be here, I love watching him turn into a little man.
  • Emily had her first gymnastics show. She was so cute and has come such a long way in a few months. She loves the little gold medal they gave her.
  • My dad and I got word that our permits came in for our Boundary Waters canoe trip in August. 4 days, 5 nights in the middle of the wilderness. Nothing but trees and stars to keep us company. Damn is that going to be nice!!

Yeah, it was a pretty damn good week and you won’t hear me complaining.

Guitar lessons start tomorrow. My brain has been saying “wait till lessons” so I haven’t been noodling hardly at all on the guitar and I’m looking forward to that changing. It’s going to be a lot of fun.
