A friend of mine just informed me (and the world) that she has been diagnosed with MS.

You guys and girls might know her.

Her name is Amanda and she plays in a band called The Lascivious Biddies.

I’ve gotten to know Amanda and the band over the past year and when I heard this news it floored me. How could such a horrible disease that messes with your overall body control, happen to such a great person who makes a living playing guitar.

When I found out that the band was taking part in the NYC MS Walk I asked how I could help. At a minimum I was going to be their biggest cheerleader, but instead decided to be part of the team.

At the end of April I’ll be heading out to NYC for the weekend to walk a 12.5 mile track through Manhattan. The team has a goal of $10,000 but I want to crush that goal and really make a statement.
