Long Walks & Sunshine
It’s only the middle of the day and already today has been awesome.
We went to the park to teach Dylan how to ride his bike. For some reason I wanted to get that done today in the worse way. He did awesome!!! It was funny the first time he kept riding away from me and then he crashed and looked back and instantly freaked out at how far he had gone. Sure he’s still got some learning to do, but the comfortable factor is there and he was doing great. I’ve got some movies of it that I’ll be sharing soon.
Then when we got back to the van I turned the key and heard “click click click.” We have this problem that if there is a light left on for about 10 minutes or more that it kills the battery. Seems that Dylan had been fooling around with the light so it was on the whole time we were out riding bikes. There were people around but they were all having a fun time so I volunteered to walk back to the house and get the car. Laura said it was nice out so we should all walk.
The kids did great. It’s not a quick stroll, but it’s the perfect day. We stopped at place on Main Street for lunch. Of course we all ordered breakfast with the kids both having huge plates of chocolate chip french toast. It was a great walk, but I wish I didn’t have my sandals on. My feet are killing me now.
Left to do today is mow the lawn (so I need to go get some gas first) and then fajitas and beer for dinner. As you can see we are stocked up and ready to rock. Mmmm….I love my new grill so I’m like a little kid getting ready for dinner!
