They are putting up a new McD’s down the street and the other night as I drove by I laughed as I saw this scene. You’ve got to be involved with Second Life to completely appreciate it.

Laura has been giving me shit none stop because I am talking a ton about Second Life lately. But, as I told her today in a couple of years having a virtual presence will be as mandatory as having a website is today. Remember back when people and companies laughed at the geek in the basement trying to get them on the web? Remember….

Today the Boston Globe is coming by. I’m not sure exactly what for. I got an e-mail yesterday from a reporter doing a story on Podcasting asking if they could send a photographer over. Of course the answer was yes. I’m assuming it’s because they want an “action” shot of me recording, but who knows. I’ve got enough to do around the house anyways so no biggie.

Tomorrow night it’s off to Cologne, Germany for Podcast Day 2006. It’s a cool mix of nerves and excitement about going. I didn’t make the travel arrangements. I don’t speak German. It’s my first trip outside of North America. All of these add up to a cool mix of emotions. I can’t wait though. This is going to be a great experience and a damn cool time. You can be sure my Flickr site will be updated as much as possible and I’ll be blogging away here as well.

Ok, Laura is home with lunch and I’m starved. I’ve got recording to do tonight and packing as well. I should mow the lawn as well but I’m not sure if it’s still too wet. Dylan’s soccer got canceled because of that although he did have baseball and did very well.
