Still Soggy

I started writing a post yesterday that I never ended up posting. Guess it really was a rainy, lazy day all around.

Got the itch to put out a new Managing the Gray last night. I’m having a blast doing it and based on the rising subscription numbers so are the people out there in the world which feels very good.

Had a great meeting in SL last night with some designers. I wasn’t planning on having a meeting, but it’s amazing what can happen when you random say hi to a stranger. Try it in real life sometime because it’s just as cool there.

I’ve wanted to set up a true virtual office in Second Life since I discovered it. I keep playing and toying with ideas, but after talking with them I think I finally figured out what I want to do. We’ve still got plenty of discussions to be had, but I’m excited about the brainstorming we did last night.

Stop thinking about it as a game and rather as a 3D Web Browser, crossed with social networking, chat and streaming everything. THAT in a nutshell is what it is going to be all about. There are games happening IN Second Life, but Second Life itself is not a game. In my opinion at least.

Some fun filled errands and productive projects ahead for today. It’s finally stopped raining out, but everything is SOAKED so all hopes of mowing the lawn and other outside fun is pretty much squashed.

Loving the time with the family this weekend. I’m going to be doing some traveling in the coming weekends so these moments are precious and important. Plus the kids are growing up faster now I think. They hit 5 and go into overdrive. Or maybe I’m just getting older faster. Who knows….
