I just read on iLounge that Kevin Smith has recorded a director’s commentary that fans can get from the iTunes music store for free.

My first reaction was huh? Did this mean that Clerks 2 would also be coming out via iTunes at some point?

Don’t know about that, but the thinking is that fans could bring their iPod to the movie theater and actually listen to the commentary WHILE watching the movie in the theater!

I don’t know how many people will do this, but I don’t care. I LOVE that someone is trying something like this. The cost is next to nothing and they are TRYING out something new in the space. I love it!!

(Plus I’m a die hard Kevin Smith fan so it makes me smile extra big.)
