I have to admit that it was a little weird to tell someone today that I was going to a wake in Second Life for Adam Curry’s mom. But, after being there I’m so glad I went because it was yet another example of a way that I would have never imagined this medium being used.

It was short. It was simple. Everyone was in black.

There was a memorial outside that people would leave notes for Adam at which I thought was the most fitting part of it all. Who knew a virtual world could help the healing process.

I never knew the lady, but just listening to Adam talk about her for the past year and more on the Daily Source Code made me appreciate how cool of a lady she was.
