The letter is now out there. Rob from Podcast411 does a GREAT job of covering the topic and giving damn good details and insight. If you are remotely interested in this whole topic you need to listen. He’s only putting it into his feed so you have to subscribe to listen to it. Not sure why he’s doing that? This is a must listen.

Yes, after reading the letter I feel better that they are not going after the term “podcast” which is what I had the problem with above all else.

I’m a bit miffed that Wired reported this without doing the homework. It started a firestorm that didn’t need to happen.

And guess what? From Podcast Ready’s standpoint they have got to love this PR. Everyone at the Podcast Expo is going to swing by their booth now and everyone has heard of the company now. Can’t beat that.

Oh, and I’m not going to be part of any conversations on changing the name. I hated those conversations a year ago when we had them. The term is here and it’s not going anywhere. Eric Rice says it better then I could.
