Why I Love Technology

I’m sitting in the living room of my in-laws in New Hampshire right now.

I’m on my laptop sitting on the couch. Practically melting from the heat of the fireplace that they always have full of wood burning bright.

In one window I’m updating a web page, in another I’m doing some shopping for Second Life. Then I’ve got Skype fired up and I’m IMing with Matthew Ebel. In another Skype window I’m on an audio conference listening to Jimmy Golding in the studio RIGHT now!! He’s pushing it out via skype so me and a couple of others can listen to it.

So I’m interacting with London, Nashville and the entire world right now. Moments like this remind me how damn cool this world we live in is right now.

[UPDATE: I’ve now got Anji Bee on skype so add California into the mix. These studio sessions sound amazing. The violin player is simply beautiful sounding.]
