This is the third time writing this post. The server keeps barfing on me.

Today the turkey and touchdowns will be here at home. Just us the good old Chapman Clan together. Emily actually pouted this morning and asked “you mean no family are coming to visit us?” A sure sign that they are growing up when they realize and ask things like this.

I have a lot to be thankful for. It’s been a great year. Me and my family are happy and healthy. The kids are growing up and learning every day. I’ve made a successful career shift and the launch of crayon went smooth. I’ve made new friends and grown the relationship with old ones. I’ve listened to lots of great music. I’ve seen parts of the world I never imagined I would. I’ve cooked and tasted new foods. Tried new things. And found a whole new world to explore in.

Yes today is about pies, celebration and spending time with family. It’s also a great day to just pause and reflect. You should do this every so often anyways, but Thanksgiving is the perfect excuse to do so.

The holidays are officially upon us. Give lots of extra hugs. Keep in mind what this season is all about and it does NOT involve the mall. *grin*

I just popped the turkey in the oven and have one more pie (apple) to make before the end of the day. Laura is in the shower. Dylan is playing on the computer. Emily is in her room with her dolls. All is right.
