Right now I’m feeling pretty damn happy. Check that. I’m wired right now!

Tonight’s opening of the Virtual U-Turn Cafe in Second Life with a live performance by Uncle Seth from Toronto really went off very well. Tons of friends and strangers showed up. The sim was full and the music was rocking.

Damn good time all around. I’ve got to get some sleep but I had to blog before crashing!

I can’t wait to do more of this! Anything to help artists get some more ears and more fans works for me! Such a damn good time.

Sorry I didn’t make this, but that time difference can be a bit of a bitch some times.

Glad the event was a success. Will definitely try and make the next one.

C.C., WOW! I never expected the performance to be as good as it was. I haven’t had this much fun in RL in a long time. I have been wanting to go watch a band from the Podsafe music network play live. However, with my responsibilities (Work, Parent, Spouse, Podcaster, etc) I have not had the chance to go out. Yet, this came very close. I mean, when I reflect back, I feel as if it really happened! It is so weird how SL just blends into RL’s memories.

The greatest thing was the music. It was amazing how clear the music came through. Despite the fact that SL seemed to be a bit overloaded on my PC, the music went without a hitch. It streamed with no problems! I really enjoyed hearing a band play live. Especially Uncle Seth, they’re Grrreeeeaaattt!!

I know that turnout may have been better. I was expecting more people. Still, I hope you have another band playing soon. I know I will be there!

And for those of you who did not make it, You definitely have to make it next time CC has another show.

By the way, in case you are wondering who I was, I was the lonely guy at Stage Left: black pants in the Uncle Seth Concert Tee with the grey cap. Pepe Holgado in SL.

Thanks for a great time, CC!

Actually due to limitations with Second Life we had a maximum of 50 people that we could have at the cafe and we had 44 at one point so I’m very happy with the turn out. The more people = more lag.

The audio (minus the covers) will be coming out on Accident Hash later this week. Glad you had a great time.

[…] C.C. Chapman’s U-Turn Cafe has taken form on Second Life. On Saturday night in a last-minute notification I was reminded of a concert with Uncle Seth. Since I was just chatting with my friends at the time, I decided to attend. What a great concert! Short of my client that kept on crashing, I finally got to see C.C. on there. Technorati Tags: […]
