NBC & Second Life

TONS of problems in Second Life tonight due to scheduled maintenance which made it an extra interesting time but I think everything worked out.

It was cool to see in the Crayonville Theater and watch the live concert until I could get a teleport to work. The kids loved watching a frog sing next to a dancing snow man!

I was in NYC last winter and there was no roof over the skating rink. Has such a roof actually been added or is this a Second Life fantasy Rockerfeller Center?

  2. Drive-by Observer says:

No roof, but it is a pretty cool concept. Considering that the rink gets over 1/4 million skaters a year, and untold millions of tourists, they would probably recoup their investment pretty quickly.

That’s the great thing about Second Life: you can try out architectural concepts like this, at an aesthetical level anyway, for practically no cost.
