Day 1 of London

Great day in London. All kinds of photos on my Flickr page.
I couldn’t fall asleep last night which sucked. It might have been midnight here and I was wiped, but the old body didn’t want to go to sleep.
We walked over to the Tower of London and had some pastries and coffee outside while we […]

In London

We are here and doing well.
Bitch of a time falling asleep last night, but we are up and ready to go.
Off to some breakfast and then the Tower of London. We are hoping to be total tourists today until we party at Jazzfly tonight.
Cool to be here.

Sort of Off the Grid

Just found out that my cell phone won’t work in London. Not such a bad thing as it’ll allow me to be a bit off the grid and not checking my Blackberry non stop. You won’t hear me complain.
So if your trying to get a hold of me between now and Monday evening it might […]

Second Life Artist on MTV!

Within five minutes of each other I had several people IM and e-mail me this link to Frogg Marlowe on MTV.
My first passion will always be music and thus I’m psyched any time indie artists get exposure and this is a double whammie since it showcases why SL can be a viable option for musicians […]

CaseCamp Second Life

I’m going to be there, will you? More information at CaseCampSecondLife.org

One of Those Moments

Sitting down at dinner tonight at Blue Ginger when I notice the BIG gentleman next to me sitting down some people.
Now sitting next to me is Deval Patrick. The guy who blocked out the sun had to have been a body guard and dissapeared.
I so badly wanted to stand up and shake his hand and […]

Wet Monday

Another wet and cold day here at Chez Chapman. Feels more like an early spring day then a late fall one. Very strange indeed.
I’m really excited this morning because there is some good chatter about crayon in today’s Wall Street Journal. I’ve got to get out there and pick up a copy today before I […]

Shit Covered Dog Morning

You got it. NOT a fun start to the morning around here today.
Laura is off X-mas shopping with her mom for the weekend and the kids had soccer. We couldn’t find Dylan’s jersey for the life of us when Roxie comes in from outside with new highlights. Shit highlights. Grrr!! She loves to roll around […]

Managing the Gray #21 - Doing Business in Second Life IS Different

After the first couple of weeks with crayon being open for business in Second Life I took some time to reflect on just how difficult and different this is from my old days of just wandering around and exploring the world. I figured it would make the perfect topic for an episode of Managing the […]

Linden Labs, Taxation & Educated Ladies of the Night?

I read the other day on the Second Life Herald about this avatar named Cardie Mahoney who was upset about the forthcoming rising land fees in Second Life and how it was going to effect the “oldest profession in the world.” I giggled about it because it was not something I thought or about or […]

Second Thursdays in Second Life

Attended this months Second Thursdays in Second Life event which was a nice conversation with some of the publications that cover the events of SL.
Great attendance and some good information. I just wish that there has been voice. Reading text for so long with so many people gets old rather quickly.
Thanks to Eric Rice for […]

It’s a Good Day

(Globe Staff Photo / David L. Ryan)
I’ve got a nice perma-grin going on today.
As I said last night as Laura was going to bed and we saw the results, “It’s feel good be on the winning side for once.”

Election Day

It is election day here in the States.
Please be sure to get out and vote. I don’t care who you vote for so long as you’ve made an educated decision and you do it. That’s one of the great things about being an American is that we have this privilege and we should not just […]

Chatting With David McMillin

I just got off the phone with David McMillin. I’m still grinning from ear to ear.
Sure, it was labeled as an interview, but it was so much more like a chat then anything else and that is what was great about it. We have yet to meet up in real life yet, but I’ve been […]
