I’ve never been a gamer so I’ve never even though about shopping for a video card for my PC.

Whatever came pre-installed always did the trick for me. I could never understand spending more money for one so I never learned anything about them. PCI? AGP? PCI-Express? Hmmm….all of those mean nothing to me.

But, this past week I knew I had to get something new to hook up my new Dell monitor I had ordered. I thought I was all set. Got everything set up without much problems.

Then today the monitor arrived and I hooked it up. DOH! I can’t get the resolution needed. So now I move the mouse around and it scrolls all over the place! Grrr…..

But, after reading everything I SHOULD have read before doing all this I now know that the problem is that the video card I got doesn’t have DUAL-DVI. I only saw DVI, not the “dual” part. So I now need to return this video card and get another one. Fun. Fun. Fun!
