Politicians, Productivity and Lots of Random Thoughts

My head is swirling this morning with creativity, reactions to posts and other reads and just all around in hyper drive.

  • It seems to be the “in thing” for politicians to reach out to Bloggers. I’m just happy to know that more people are waking up to the power of new media. About time! I’m still not sure who my candidate is going to be, but I can tell you that if Barack Obama runs he’ll have my support.
  • This larger monitor already has me trying to figure out ways to be more productive. I’m use to having tons of things opened and minimized, but now I can actually keep them open. Very nice indeed.
  • I just ordered some extra large cahier Moleskine notebooks. My buddy Mark Hunter turned me onto Moleskines in the first place and I’ve been digging them. But, this style I first read about when Steve Rubel mentioned them. We’ll see if they work for me.
  • I’m suddenly addicted to sites like Life Hacker and 43 Folders, but not in the way some of my friends are. :)
  • A quick early morning Skype with a good buddy like Mitch Joel certainly makes a morning that much better.

I apologize if you’ve tried to hit this blog and it was down. Seems I was getting a ton of spam comments and that was making the DB a bit unhappy. I HOPE it’s fixed now.

I’ve thought about the Moleskine, but a “bound” notebook is just too inflexible for me. I fell in love with Levenger’s Circa — it’s too perfect.

Have you drank the GTD kool-aid yet? I finally gave in this week. It’s similar to the system I was already using, but there are a couple of things that I’m going to do differently when I begin my implementation. We’ll have to get together and talk productivity pr0n some day. (BTW - Search flickr for GTD photos. Jazzmasterson’s system is AMAZING!)
