If you want to try a Mac, then try it. But to make the swtich totally will leave you without some very important programs. I use both in my job (Mac and PC) and I use Linux (ubuntu) at home. With in 5 days of receiving my Mac Mini and only about 8 actual hours of interaction with it... I managed to break it! Lucky for me I know a Superstar who walked me through getting it back up and running. I'm still hanging on to my Dell, but I'm wicked excited to see what the mini can do! Don't be scared...I can hold your hand if need be :) CC-
