My Dad just forwarded this to me. Brought a big smile to my face and more then a few tears as well.

Saw your twitter about this and wanted to check it out. this is beautiful, your granddad sounds like he was a great man and will be missed.
Having just lost my Dad at the end of January, all of these things touch me very deeply, and always make me reflect fondly. Thank you.

I also saw your twitter about this tribute to your grandfather. To be remembered for the way you connect with people is a great legacy. I’m going to steal that line (”I’ve been better, but it’s more expensive”), and when I use it I’ll think of you and Grandpa Roger. Thanks for sharing.

That’s a heck of a tribute dude. Sounds like he was an incredible guy.

Wow, neat. I hope to be remembered like that. Condolences on your loss.

Now you warned us about tears… and I never even knew the guy… but I wound up tearing up myself. A tribute to the writer of course… but maybe also a tribute to all the Roger Gillies in this world.
