A few months back when the team at StartCooking came to me and asked if I’d be interested in advising them on playing on the new media playground I jumped at the chance because of the people involved. It’s more about the people then anything else in my book most of the time.
So, the other [...]
Sure, it’s a catchy headline, but as I got dressed this morning I had a good laugh and a sudden realization.
For those of you paying attention, there is a lot of buzz right now around this new movie that is code named “cloverfield” or 01-18-08 that is coming out from JJ Abrams. There is all [...]

About 7:30 tonight there was a weird glow throughout the house. Outside the sky was red/orange and everything had this weird tint to it.
I shot a bunch of pictures but never have shot in that sort of lighting.
This is right off the camera….talk about some weird clouds and one evil looking [...]
Two weeks left and then the kids are done day care forever.
Three weeks left and I’ll be reading the Sunday paper in a new house.
Four and a half weeks and the kids will be back in school.
Time is flying by. We all never seem to have enough of it and I know I personally sure [...]
I needed a break for a few minutes on Friday so I hit the backyard to record this One Guy’s Thoughts.
Special little hello at the beginning from my good buddy P.W. Fenton and even Roxie gets in on the fun. Granted she knocks the camera over the in the middle, but I still love her.
Wasn’t in the mood to sleep last night so I got a lot of little things done here and there. One of them was watching this great video from Merlin Mann talking about e-mail. I love watching anything he does and this was certainly a good one. I’ll embed it so that you can watch [...]
So I just finished recording the latest Managing the Gray where I question if we are all selling ourselves short or not. You can listen directly here.
This week has contained a lot of frustration, reflection and open honest conversation. That makes for some serious treading on the soul, but I think it was for the [...]
This picture makes me happy. I’ve come to realize that photography makes me really happy. I wonder if I could get a paying gig ever for taking photographs? Casual headshots. Conference photography. Band photos. Hmmm….something really. Hell I think I’d do it at a conference if I got free admission and transportation costs. Just for [...]
Last night was a fun night. It started off with a Boston Tweetup, then some of us migrated to the Boston No Reservations screening that Warner Brothers and StartCooking.com hosted and ended at Boston Billiards with a few of us just sitting around and talking about all sorts of things into the wee hours of [...]
Ok, so I haven’t got my QuickTime settings right so you have to download the whole thing (40ish MB) before it starts playing which is annoying and I’m sorry, but you can watch One Guy’s Thoughts from Block Island right here. If you are of the Facebook persuasion you can watch a version there too.

Today feels like a bonus day. We took Friday off and have done nothing but family stuff ever since so I kept thinking yesterday was Sunday. Waking up late this morning, reading the paper and now checking out the net reminded me that I had an extra day this week to stretch out and enjoy [...]
The kids don’t know where we are going or what we are doing, but we are headed to Block Island, Rhode Island this morning.
We are going down because our good buddy Matthew Ebel is playing down there daily during the month of July so we decided to take a day and go down for [...]
