Just along there, set back on the lush grass area are some wooden picnic benches which would make an idyllic space. I must admit to thinking "wow CC would love this spot right here". When living in Milan I used to frequent the bars, at least once a day, even for a short period to soak in some local culture and try to always meet someone new, at least strike up a conversation, no matter how banile. These days living in UK, I find people in more of a rush and typically not so generous with their time, coupled with a different culture here where most people are not so keen to just chill during the day, English people anyway, which always seems odd to me. That's not the case though in my homeland down in the South West of UK, Cornwall, where the Celtic heritage is more geared towards the celebration of people and the life is a lot slower, people make time and without agenda, which is THE important bit. The term Third Space is ok, but I wouldn't use it, people would look at me like I'm mad if I said "oh I'm off to my third space" - the men in white coats might come for me. ;) Very good CC..
