Often times we are so close to the revolution and live in it everyday, it easy to loose perspective on the rest of the world. I am at the point now where I'm openly impressed when I say podcast, blog, or rss and don't get a glazed look in the eyes. Even those who know of it, rarely understand the real power in it. Hopefully that's an opportunity for savvy folks like us to show them the way.

I was talking with a prospective client yesterday smack dab in the middle of silicon valley and we started talking about them having a company blog, podcast, videocast and they said they don't have time nor budget for it. They market only through magazines and their website.
Times are changing folks, better get on the clue train!

Doesn't surprise me one bit CC, same story here in UK.

In fact some of the biggest agency players who roll-out some of the most well known brands here have zero blog presence still, nada.. one might ask if they need it, with satisfied clients, and winning awards.

I guess the angle is that blogging and social media should be thought of as "another division", an added channel, not the only one?
