Dead Trees No More

Dad came down today to drop some dead trees we had on our property. Youcan see them pointed out in the before shot below. You can’t tell that on the other side of the red canoe a hill that goes down a good 20-30 feet so they are big trees. Dad dropped them and cut up the limb wood for our fireplace.

Before and After Shot

The kids both helped carry up wood and stack it. NOT an easy chore since there was no easy path to the wood pile.

Before leaving Dad cut up some of the bigger parts just to have them ready to split if he gets bored on Thanksgiving. Needless to say we won’t have a need to buy wood anytime soon.

Dead trees… actually Dead Trees… I figured this was a pro-eBook posting. Hmmm. Cutting down dead trees is fun, too, though.

If you have the investment option to do so, we bought our fireplace insert in Hopkinton:

It does a FANTASTIC job of heating the entire house.

The Chapman land looks very pretty! I bet the autumn colors are amazing.
