A Full Day in Pittsburgh

I have a feeling that I’ll be doing lots of blog posting from the Pittsburgh Airport in the coming weeks. It has free WiFi so of course I connect and see what is going on in the world and after today I have a feeling I’ll be visiting every so often.

Steve and I were down today for a day full of meetings with the teams at American Eagle Outfitters. Made for a long day getting up at 3 am to fly down for the day but I feel that we made some big forward progress on multiple projects so that feels good. I’m very excited to have them as a client.

This could be the shortest flight ever as I have a feeling I’m going to sleep the entire time. Since it is not JetBlue this time I won’t have any TV to keep me awake. I’m sure I’ll buy a magazine and then pass out. Isn’t that part of the game us road warriors play from time to time?

Tomorrow I’ve got to hit the Sprint store. It has been on my to do list for a while now, but I really want to try and get there. I guess I could just order it online, but part of me wants to go local in case it doesn’t work like the Verizon one did. Just have to find the time to go is all.

An hour till we board. Wonder if I can find a place to take a nap without missing the plane. Great thought, but not practical unfortunately.

Glad your day in the Steel City was a productive one! I’m glad to hear AE is jumping into the social media arena. Can’t wait to see what develops!

The Pittsburgh International Airport is a fine place to kill time — as crazy as that sounds.

As perhaps you know, the original plan was for it to function both as a retail space (read: mall) and a travel junction. Prices are supposed to be the same there as at local retail establishments. And of course there’s no tax on clothes in PA, so you can stock up on your American Eagle attire.

Of course, those plans were made when the place was built, which was before 9/11/2001, when you didn’t have to have a boarding pass to get through security. But somehow the stores and restaurants have survived the change, and it’s not a bad place to be.

I’m glad to hear it’s treating you well.
