I only put down goals that I was 100% committed to making happen and right now the guitar is not on that list. I wish it was, but there is only so many things that can demand the needed focus.

Happy New Year CC!

I just listened to your first 2008 Managing the Grey yesterday, and notice that learning to play guitar isn't on your list for this year. What gives? Or is it on your other 'to-do' list?

Speaking more outside the fishbowl is a great idea. We can only benefit from encouraging and helping others to learn more about this stuff. That's where the growth is, both personally and professionally.

Cheers,

I know how you feel about not mentally being prepared for a new job. I went from being a (mostly) happy restaurant bookkeeper to being an employee in a CPA firm. A complete change of culture and complete destruction of my 5 year plan. I love the new job so far, but I have not yet stopped being amazed by how quickly and abrupt the change was.

In regards to your photography resolution, I had a quick thought: with more and more professionals joining and communicating on social networks, what if you were a go to source to get a professional headshot for them to use as avatars? I've seen the beautiful and tailored shots you've taken of people at our social media events; this could be a cool service to provide.

Happy New Year C.C.!
