Reading Time
This isn’t the greatest picture in the world, but it sure does bring HUGE smiles to my face.

You’ve got to understand that the book Dylan is reading is an Encyclopedia Brown book which I guess was one of my Dad’s favorites growing up. So seeing these two together like this really made my day.
Earlier in the day, Dylan was sitting on the couch reading through one of my Calvin & Hobbes books laughing his ass off. THAT made me smile too because I’ve done that many times myself.
Being a Dad is a pretty damn cool thing. Especially when you see a lot of your silliness in your son.

Well put! My oldest — 8 years old — made the mistake of bringing home a book of palindromes from the school library last fall. Ever since, 3 mornings out of 5, I greet him as “Yo, bozo boy!” Gets a grin *every* time. And, even better that I never can fully remember “Go Hang a Salami! I’m a Lasagna Hog!” while he can.
If Dylan laughs and Calvin and Hobbes and enjoys Encyclopedia brown, he’s due for the “Great Brain” books (John Fitzgerald) and “Mad Scientists Club” books (Bertrand R. Brinley).

Man, CC, just take it all in man. You have a unique situation gable to work out of the house a lot. When they say they grow up sooo fast, it’s not a myth, pretty soon he’ll be calling you from College. My Daughter is freshman right now. I cant believe it!

Calvin & Hobbes, that’s my favorite comic strip. Just Wonderful!
It always remember me when I was a little kid.
I think it’s one of the fewer strips you can give your kids carefree about the things it says.
