Personally I think what these videos stand for are pretty damn cool.

I posted some time back about will.i.am’s video on YouTube: Yes We Can in support of Barack Obama in the presidential race. Well will.i.am’s at it again (picked up from CC Chapman), this time with We Are The Ones.

Maybe I find this partic…

“I just want the war to end,” in this video and I cringe. The war ain’t gonna end. If we pull out (and maybe we should) Iraq is still going to be a violence wracked basket case enmeshed in civil war. Obama is not going to end the war. He may get us out, and that’s probably a good thing for us, but the war is going to continue.

I like Obama’s positive message and approach. I like the inclusive message. I don’t like mindless sound bites. And I don’t cults of personality.

I know that presidential campaigns are won and lost from the gut reactions of voters. My gut feeling is Obama would make a terrific president. I’d rather him than Clinton, and certainly prefer him to McCain. But my gut reaction to this video is not good.

I guess our guts are gonna have to agree to disagree.

Nah … very, very cool! Will.i.am is to be commended for once again nailing the sense of hope that’s such a large part of Obama’s candidacy.
