Allison Crowe in Concert

Last night I got to see one of my all time favorite musical artists perform in a small and intimate concert. That artist is Allison Crowe.

C.C. Chapman & Allison Crowe

I don’t remember how I first discovered Allison, but I’ve been playing her on Accident Hash ever since. Her voice is pure passion and oh so amazing live. I tell anyone who asks to buy her Live at Wood Hall double CD set because while she is amazing in a studio, live she is beyond words.

Laura and I arrived at The Lilly Pad and my first thought as I saw the small room was, “Allison is going to blow this room away.” She played for about 2 hours and giggled her way through lots of stories in between the songs.

It was simply an amazing concert. I hope that as this was her first show ever in Boston that it will not be her last.

Glad you enjoyed the show CC. (as if you wouldn’t somehow). Allison has that kind of voice that you know recorded music simply doesn’t capture to it’s full potential. Would LOVE to see her live myself.

    Great picture, btw.

You sold one copy of the album at least! :)

The song you played most recently on accident hash totally got me to buy the album off of iTunes. Thanks CC!

Happy you and Laura could be part of the night! There’s no reason it’ll be Allison’s last visit. It takes time to get around independently, but, the goal for Allison is to keep on keeping on - to perform everywhere she can. Ed, that means Kansas City, too ( :

Allison had a wonderful time at Lily Pad. Thank you for introducing people to her music - that helps make it all possible!
