As I was cooking pancakes for the family this morning this view caught my attention out of our kitchen window. Sort of summed up New England this time of year for me.

Yes, it is mornings like this that make living in New England the best place to live! I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else!
BTW…saw someone say that Tina Fey does a better Palin than Palin herself.

Saw the tweet about this…this picture really does sum it up. I live in NB, Canada. Which is, of course, the Canadian extension of New England. Th Canoe stowed under the deck really adds to that New England feel. Thank you for sharing this picture! I was drinking a glass of Chard on my deck, looking at the fall leaves in my own backyard yesterday and was too mellow at that very moment to go get the camera. Hope I get one before the leaves all go…Cheers!

I had a bit of a New England morning here myself. It was 58f when I went out for the paper this morning. No leaves on my lawn though.

I made pancakes too this morning… I figured out two secrets:
1. Leave the batter slightly lumpy as it suggests on the box.
2. Use a medium to low heat as it says on the box.
It’s good to read directions…

Very cool pic. Makes me think about raking though. We also had pancakes but then we went to the beach.
