Scenes From Thanksgiving

We realized that ten years ago we had both of our families down to Virginia for Thanksgiving. Laura was pregnant with Dylan and it was the last turkey day we’d spend down there before moving back to New England. Having a house full of family this year made me very happy. I’ve been looking forward to it for weeks.

The local fresh turkey was amazing and gave off more juice then I’d ever need and cooked faster then I ever thought it would. The homemade chocolate cream pie was top notch and the time with everyone of course was the best part.

Here are some shots from the day.

It looks like you had the perfect Thanksgiving:) I wasn’t able to make it home to celebrate the day with my family this year but it was nice to follow your tweets as it was happening for your own family. I never use to really appreciate this holiday until this year. Now I’m counting down the days to Christmas vacation so I can fly back to the east coast and spend some much needed time with my family.

Also loved your Reflecting-Back post above. Man, you and Jeff Pulver are always my go to bloggers in this space to find posts that motivate me as much in my work as in life outside of the office.
