Twitter For Brands

I was interviewed by several people while at SXSW and I’ll be sure to get all the links and post them here, but I think today I had my most fun one with the beautiful and talented Jolie O’Dell.

She called me up and asked if we could meet to discuss how brands could and should be using Twitter. Her timing was perfect as I had 30 minutes until my next panel. We went out on the balcony of the Austin Convention Center and my friend Ewan Spence worked the camera while we chatted.

Jolie is currently out of work, so if you are looking for a writer, editor or graphic designer why not swing by her site or her twitter and say hello to her. I also took this great picture of her while I was here.

  • I repeat the first part about selecting tools because they have a justifiable purpose over and over and OVER to my students when they talk about wanting to start a twitter or facebook group (they haven't figured out pages yet I don't think, but I'm going to post your white page about it), or any other tools.

In fact, I just posted a comment about this on a post that my friend Nate over at okaycity.com wrote yesterday about twitter.
  • love it. Wish I was at SXSW...See you in Boston at next SMB?
  • Awww, CC! You're so awesome.

Thanks again for taking the time to chat with me. I'm glad I'm able to get really great ideas from people like you and bring them to the Adrants audience. Someday, all together, we will fix the Internet.

Barring that, we will buy it, privatize it, and license people who want to use it. That's Plan B.
