I've been in the music and message-on-hold business for 25 years... this is a great idea... and my company can record custom music/message programs that can be sold to ipod users... The feature would require an infrastructure similar to what's used for ringtones, and that's a lot of hassle for a feature that wouldn't get an enormous amount of use.
