Enjoy your recharge weekend, take your mulligan, but never ever never ever NEVER stop being real and human. That's what makes you, well, you. FORE!

Good gravy, man, did I ever need a mulligan, too!

And for the record, giving yourself permission to be in a foul mood for the first couple of days doesn't work out as well as you'd think. You end up with a "bad mood hangover" on Wednesday, and the need to redo half the work you got done under the influence of a bad attitude. Yuck.

I am completely in favour of this idea. This week was should be considered the hangover period after 2009: The Year to Forget (or perhaps learn from so as to prevent another similar year from occurring).

What you said. This week was a toughie, on so many fronts. But even today, waking up with a fresh cup of coffee and the giggles of my daughter, I'm feeling refreshed and like I can make a run at it again.

Listen, we're human. Bad days (or weeks) are allowed. The key is in the recovery, and of course, in supporting the people you care about when they get a kick in the teeth or two. :)

Hang in there, my friend, and let's do this.

CC - Couldn't be better put. I had a similar start of the week and would rather consider it stretching and a warm-up for the next one. Happy 2010!
