It was so great getting to meet you CC – and your beautiful family. And your beautiful S90. I'm still convinced you're on the payroll! But the pictures prove it out so…you get a pass.

Although I disagree a bit with Shae that Disney is more expensive than Atlantis. In fact, I'd say they're quite comparable. But you probably get away with fewer souvenir requests at Atlantis!

I have owned a timeshare at the Atlantis for about 5 years now. I am finally going to take my 3 y/o daughter this summer for her 4th birthday (what a life for a toddler). I took her to Disneyworld when she was two, and I can honestly say you darn near have to be a millionaire to have a good time. After you spend money on airfare, hotel/timeshare, and rental car, you then have to worry about meals and park hopper tickets for the days you are there.

Once you spend your travel money for the Atlantis, there are many inexpensive things to do that cater to all ages after you get there. Be prepared for the hefty "gratuity" they place on EVERYTHING on the Atlantis side of the bridge. For first time goers with a small family, I highly recommend the meal plan. You wouldn't want to spend your time trying to figure out what to eat every day. Your subsequent trips (and there will be many) you can venture out to where the locals eat. I also recommend taking a grandparent or nanny so the adults can enjoy some time without the kids.

Overall, your time and money will be well spent. The atmosphere is relaxing. There is plenty to do for all ages. The locals are warm and very inviting. Atlantis is truly my second home.

I had no idea that Atlantis now has a kids angle now. This may be the perfect solution for a family vacation for us. We just went to the Mouse House after Christmas, and as much as I love it, I think what what I really needed was a place to spend time WITH my family. Disney is so “shopping” and feels like a huge tie-in for movies and merch.

I'm going to check out some more info right now – since my kids are 8.5 & 2.5, we always have to see what toddler options there are. If there is ONE thing I know about vacation is if the kids aren't having fun – NO ONE is! Your kids look *very* happy!
