Knee Update

posted on April 2, 2010

I figured I owed everyone a quick update on how the surgery went and how I’ve been doing.

I went into surgery knowing that there was several different options that could happen, but that they wouldn’t know until they got in there which would be done. Thankfully it turned out to be the least damaging which makes me very happy. I had some frayed cartilage under the knee cap and they just had to clean it up.

I’m stuck on the couch with my leg elevated for most of the weekend and this is the first time I’ve touched a laptop so that I could post this quick update to let you all know how I was doing.

So I’m in very good spirits but in a lot of pain so you won’t find me online much this weekend.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out in one way or another to send me well wishes. They are all appreciated!

Nice to hear! You picked the nicest weekend in months to be cooped up inside, but other than that, the news is all good. Open a window or two, enjoy the breeze, take it easy, and you'll be back on your feet in no time.

This explains why you were unable to escape a viewing of New Moon yesterday. You are incapacitated! ;)

    Feel better soon, sir!

Glad you're getting back to your old self. I've lived through 2 knee/meniscus surgeries (one more on deck!), the doc's usually recommend glucosamine (use it in liquid form) and IT WORKS. Especially after an operation it helped heeling both times. Percocet is your friend…..
