A Great Weekend in 2 Photos

posted on January 23, 2012

This weekend was a simple reminder of my favorite thing in life. Spending quality time, with quality people, having a good time. Of course these moments are captured in photographs so that I never forget them.

Saturday, I was in Chicago for the 2012 Kenmore Blogger Summit. I’ll share more thoughts later, but here is a photo of the winning cooking team of the day that I was part of.

Sunday, the family layered on the warm clothes and headed to the AFC Championship Game. It was the first pro game for the kids. We were rooting for the Ravens since Laura is a big fan and even though it didn’t end up the way we hoped for we still had an amazing time.

New England sports fans are the best and no one can tell me otherwise.

Rooting for the Ravens. Just kidding…

I hope you are going for the Giants now. VI have never been to an NFL Game the closest I got was at IMS 2010 where I when into Patriot Place. But I remember how my dad took me to see the Mets in 1986 during the playoffs (I was 6 years old) they won the world series.

It is a neat memory but at the moment I was so cold I did not enjoy my time. I did not realize how big of an event it was that I went to the Playoffs when the Mets won the World Series.

So happy you had a good time!

No way in hell I’d root for the Giants. Come on now.

I’m an AFC guy all the way. I’ve rooted for the Dolphins my whole life and yesterday was tough since all the energy there was amazing.

LOL. My years as a Child in CT with many giants fans around me make me root for the Giants.. As I was a Loyal Fan a long time ago. LOL .

But being in the caribbean it makes it difficult to get as excited with Football.

Glad you guys got to go to the game, C.C.! I’ve never been to an NFL game before; it’s on my bucket list, though.

Also, from a certain angle, in the Kenmore picture, it almost looks like you have your arms all the way around the group. I know that’s not the case because your arms aren’t that long, and you don’t paint your nails. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

I’ll never understand why you don’t root for the Patriots. OK, Laura is a Ravens fan. Why does that mean you have to root for them too?

Will you now be rooting for the Patriots in the Super Bowl? Jump on the bandwagon. It’s fun on here.

I grew up a Miami Dolphins fan and that is where my loyalty will always lie. Because they are in the same division as the Patriots it is hard to root for them.

Plus, this year as soon as Miami was out of it (week 1) I began rooting for Laura’s and Emily’s teams since they were doing better. The Ravens continued in the playoffs so I kept on rooting for them. It was a lot of fun to an “enemy” for the day. Plus, they should have won the game and totally blew it.

Of course I’m rooting for them now. NO way in hell I’d root for the Giants. I almost always root for the AFC team.

As I told people going into Sunday’s game I was going to root for whoever won it. It was hard not to cheat for the Pats with all that energy around us. And I do love Gronk. That guy can play.
