Thank you for your thoughts.

I'm happy to say that I've been chatting to ONE since returning from this trip and a lot of it is a focused effort on bring men into the mix which makes me extremely excited.

Hope you get back to Africa soon. It sounds like your heart wants to!

It's been 25 years since I last touched African soil and yet all the cliches are true. It sears your soul and stays with you forever. I love the ONEMoms, and am even more thrilled to know a ONEDad joined on the momentous introduction of the two new vaccines. You are so wise to point out that bringing men and fathers along in the revolution that is happening for reform and empowerment in Africa is the only way to ensure success. Father's projects are essential and I am keen to follow your thinking in this area.

P.S. I've discovered your blog through Emily McKhann and Morra Aarons-Mele and am so glad I did!

Thank you for sharing that story. Made my morning since I obviously would love to do something similar in the future.

I'm currently working on putting together a book of my photos from Ghana. I certainly took enough of them and for the first time really feel that some of them are worthy of a book so I hope to get it together in the coming weeks.

I am so glad I made time to read this today. Africa changes you. My stepdad is a photographer and he traveled often with a mission group called New Directions. He got to go all over the world, though he made repeated trips to Haiti, Africa and the Holy Land because those places touched his heart the most. This was in the 80s, and his photos (Some award winning) are all old-school film camera portraits, many framed. I'll have to see if I can convince him to scan some in or take digital photos of them I can share with you. Africa calmed him.

Thank you so much for sharing your story C.C. What an incredible adventure.

I'm envious and I hope to make the trip there myself sooner than later.

You mentioned that problem solving ideas were floating around in your head. I would love to learn more about what you think of, and how I can help you with it.

Beautiful photos too! You're a true talent amigo. Way to go "big man". :)

Thank you so much for all that you have shared about your time in Ghana! I have enjoyed all of your words and photos through tears and smiles. My family will be moving to Ghana within the next year and we love all of the glimpses that the internet provides us of our new home. We will be taking a 2 week trip this fall before we move, but we are so anxious to get to know the amazing people there and to better understand their culture as we prepare.
Bless you for the loving way that you have shared about the Ghanaian people!

I'm glad you enjoyed my post and as someone who has been there it makes me extremely happy to hear you say I captured it.

I'm glad we got to share something this special. We'll have to do it again soon :)

This is really great, man. A nice recap of all the people and places as well as your thoughts and takeaways. Thanks for sharing this man, especially all the pictures which are perfect. I'm sure you only have a couple of other pictures filed away too from the trip. :)

Love these shots! I spent over a month in Ghana and loved the people, the culture and just the overall experience as a whole. I learned so much during my time there and hope to make it back there again soon. My experience is here: http://kateinghana.wordpress.com So glad you were able to go, help and were able to catch the essence of country through photography!
