About C.C. Chapman

About pages are always a pain to keep updated and relevant, but I’m going to give it a whirl.

This site has been around since July 2, 2002 and I’ve always treated it as an online journal. This means that from day to day you never know hat I might be writing about. It also means that my poor grammar skills will shine through all the time. That is who I am and I am always trying to improve those skills, but I am who I am.

I’m a passionate media creator, father, photographer and all around good guy who lives in Metro-West Boston area with my awesome family and loving dog Roxie.

My Last Picture as a 34 Year OldIn 2007 I co-founded the marketing agency The Advance Guard and it was my first time being a full blown entrepreneur. In the summer of 2009 the company was acquired by Campfire where I currently am a partner and Creative Director. I have in the past and currently work with a variety of great clients including American Eagle Outfitters, Coca-Cola, HBO, Verizon FiOS, Warner Bros and St. Martin’s Press.

In 2004, I began podcasting and continue to do so to this day. Some of the shows I’m involved with include:

In 2009, I launched Digital Dads. I saw all the attention that mommy bloggers were getting and felt that the father was being left out of the equation so I wanted to start a site where myself and other dads could share their thoughts on a variety of topics. It has quickly grown into what I hoped it would and I look forward to seeing how it grows in the future.

I’m a freelance photographer and usually have my Canon 50D strapped to my hand firing off shots in a rapid fashion. My favorite subjects to shoot are people and live events (especially music). I’ve always loved technology, movies, gadgets and cooking, but my happiest place in the outdoors enjoying nature.

I love sharing what I know with audiences of all sizes. I’m fortunate to have spoken at colleges, conferences and events around the globe and continue to do so. Being a theater guy and a member of Alpha Psi Omega, getting up in front of a crowd is something I’ve always loved doing so keep me in mind when you are looking for a speaker at your next event.

Every day there is a new social network popping up, but here are links to help you find me on the ones where I’m most active.

Finally, the piece of this page that I’m going to try to keep as up to date as possible involves disclosure. While I make a point to overly share my relationships with brands and such when I talk about them here are some ongoing relationships that I have and want to make you aware of.

  • Blue Sky Factory – They provide me with my newsletter software for free
  • Sony Electronics – Currently involved with them as part of their Sony Dads project where they send us product to try out and return to them in exchange for us sharing our thoughts about those products.
