I Am Legend Comes to Second Life

It is late and I should be sleeping, but I just got an e-mail notifying me about the new first person shooter game coming into Second Life based on the upcoming Will Smith movie “I Am Legend.”
The game is called I Am Legend: Survival and the trailer looks SLICK!

ABC News

I’ve been on the news before, but it never gets old. Always a cool rush for the kids to go “Hey Daddy! That’s you!”
Tonight ABC did a story on “the future of work” and they talked about crayon and what we do in Second Life. We filmed it so long ago I wondered if they’d […]

A Real Virtual Weekend

The trip to Chicago was a good one and I was very happy I could be part of this years Second Life Community Conference.
It did feel weird not to have a camera in my hand taking casual photos of everyone like I usually do. But, I respected the rules and didn’t feel like getting in […]

SLCC Going Great

I don’t have much time but wanted to put out something to just say how great of a time SLCC is. Lots of great people, good discussions and super speakers. I just checked into my room and have a few minutes before hooking up with Michael and Steve to talk about our presentation tomorrow.
I’ve met […]

Virtual World Marketing

Thinking a lot about marketing in virtual worlds lately. Not just Second Life but across the board. The evolution of this space is happening and there is more going on in the dark corners and back rooms that we don’t know about just yet. Trust me that the real fun stuff is still to come!
I’m […]

Bringing Art to Life in Second Life

I’ve seen some cool machinima over the past year, but this use of a virtual world to take a famous painting and bring it to a new 3D level blew my mind. Not only is the build beautiful but the story telling of the video is amazing. If nothing else watch the end. It gave […]

First Thoughts on Voice in Second Life

Everyone who is into Second Life has heard all the hype and hollering about voice coming into Second Life. Yesterday I finally got a chance to jump in world and give it a whirl. There is some good and some bad and I wanted to brain dump my thoughts for others to react and engage […]

Virtual Hot Wings

I have always been a lover of hot wings. I still try to go to Wings Express in Waltham whenever I can since we could have lived off of those sometimes when I was in college.
But, this post doesn’t have to do with the honey barbecue variety, but rather the virtual variety.
Read all about Matthew […]

Options…

I just posted One Guy’s Thoughts #8 - “Writing a Forward?” and I’ve got to figure out a better way to embed them here. PodShow doesn’t have a way to do this yet and I don’t know if one is coming or not, but I sure hope there is. The current method is slowing down […]

PodCruise Miami T-Shirt

I was excited to get this shirt in Second Life tonight.
I’m even more excited because this weekend I faxed in my reservations for a cabin on the cruise ship. This is going to be a great time and the price and timing can’t be beat.
PodCruiseMiami.com for more details. Hope you can make it!

CC Hanging With the Ladies

I heard there was a sudden flash mob like gathering happening in SL so I jumped in and sat down at the piano while I thought the girls were taking photos. I had no idea I was being taped as well.

Watch the Video
Too funny! Best part is that I found out about […]

Live Concert Announcement

The next concert at the Dirty U-Turn Cafe has been announced and this one promises to be another fun one!

Matthew Ebel and I thought it would be fun to do it on April Fool’s Day. The name as you’ll see says “FOO” for the reason that the day before Random Foo Pictures will be filming […]

Sirens of Second Life Concert

Another great concert happening this Saturday night at the Dirty U-Turn Cafe. Featuring FoxyFlwr Cure, Cylindrian Rutabaga and Juel Resistance.
You know I’m a sucker for great female vocals and this should be a good time. Hope to see you there!

My First Time in Front of Students

Yesterday I got to do something that I don’t get to do nearly as often as I would like and that is talk to a classroom full of students. In fact I spoke to two different sessions of Employee Relations at Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. But, get this? I never left […]

My First Avatar Interview

I just found out that the latest Britney Mason Show has been posted in which we sit down on the roof of crayon’s office for a quick little chat. Watch below.

I have to say that this was certainly a weird experience. Never had someone ask if they could interview my avatar, but it was certainly […]
