Mahi Mahi and Mojitos

I’m currently in Florida on business for crayon. Jaffe and Scott Monty are here and last night was just hang out and be social time which is great since we don’t get to do that face-to-face very often.
I had some Jerk Painted Grilled Mahi Mahi that was simply amazing and was just the right mix […]

As The Sun Rises

Sitting here in my room the morning before the big meeting that I’m down in Virginia for. It’s funny because I am not one of those guys who really cares about the hotel I stay in. As long as it has a net connection, a bed and a bathroom I’m pretty much good with it. […]

Gate C12

Sitting in an airport with time to spare allows the mind to wander.
I knew it was spring break here in New England so I got to the airport extra early. Fire up the Wifi and get some good solid work done before jumping on the plane. I also forgot that I’ve got to stop in […]

While I’m in NYC

Technology is not loving me today. Don’t know why. Might turn into a trend.
That means my BlackBerry is my only mode of communications really for the moment so if you want to get ahold of me that is the way to do it. That means to either call me at 508-241-1062 (which has a high […]

City & Woods

Last night Gary took me walking around Central Park to take photos and because I said I had never been there before. This bridge really captured my attention.
The conflict between the water, woods and city skyline really connected with me. I was very impressed to find woods in the middle of a concrete jungle. Quite […]

PodCamp NYC - How to Find Me

Chris Brogan just did a post like this and I really like the idea of it so I figured it was a great idea.
I arrive in the city on Thursday morning and will be leaving early Saturday night. In between I’ve got meetings, hangouts and of course presentations.

So some vitals for me and what is […]

Quick Tip For Roadwarriors

I’m not quite a Bedouins yet. My main computer is still a desktop where I do my work every day.
My laptop (IBM T60 if anyone is interested) is always on and it’s the computer that gets my crayon e-mail as it’s default.
When I go on the road I’m always worried I’m not going to have […]

Acoustic Guitars & Cowboy Hats

Nashville has been a pretty cool place to visit. It’s laid back, chilled and a TINY city when it really boils down to it, but we are having a good time.

Yesterday we went to the Country Music Hall of Fame. Certainly not my favorite type of music at all, but still I can appreciate the […]

How to Pass the Time in a Hotel

Originally uploaded by CC Chapman.
This picture shows why we are calling it an “adventure.”
This is our second crappy room at the Ramada and I’ve taught the kids the first thing you do in a hotel room is jump on the beds.
I still laugh at the perfect superman form she has and the Chapman tongue.

All Is Right Again

We took off on time this morning.
Arrived in Nashville.
Our luggage WAS waiting for us.
Rental car all set.
Able to check into the hotel room early.
Everyone is crashed out taking naps since we got up at 3 am this morning and we will all be up late with the concert tonight.
I’m going to try and catch up […]

On an “Adventure”

As I told the kids when the first badness started “It’s ok guys. We are Chapmans which means we roll with it. This is just an adventure.”
Tonight as we sat on the bed eating way overpriced Pizza Hut, Emily piped up and said, “This is a pretty cool adventure. Time in New York AND Nashville. […]

Delta SUCKS - New Media RULES

Quick time line of the suckage

Sit on a plane for an hour at JFK and then they cancel the flight due to maintenance problems
Told I can go standby for the night flight or be confirmed for next day and put up in a hotel. Opt for the later
We chill in the hotel. Tell the kids […]

Winding Up the Trip

Being virtual is fun. Having a company around the globe with people in different parts of the world is fun. But, getting together face-to-face, sharing a drink, sharing emotional conversations and big thinking is even more fun.
For the past two days crayon has been together. We are evolving, changing and looking to the future and […]

Live From the Balcony in NYC

There is something still new and neat to me about New York City because I’ve spent so little time here. You can feel the character of the city the moment you wake up. It doesn’t hurt when you can step out on your balcony and hear the traffic, see the Empire State Building and just […]

The Latch Shuts at 5:40 am

That is when my work day officially ended from yesterday but is just beginning for today. Does that make sense? Just know this. I haven’t pulled a true all nighter in a long time and while I could get 1 hour of sleep right now I think that would hurt me more then help.
One final […]
