Still listening since the very beginning of MTG and I indeed feel genuine affection toward those audio podcasts that have become a part of my life, far more so than with any video shows. Plus, you can't really watch videos while driving, tidying the house, jogging etc. Congratulations on the book contract C.C. and a hoping you have a very successful new year!

Glad to know that you are still out there listening buddy. Been a while since our paths crossed.

Audio isn't dead and I hope never will be. But, just like radio doesn't get all the praise that television does, I think it will always come in second.

Hope you have a great set of holidays.

Receiving the MTG shows just fine. Still listening on the regular whenever it arrives and it would be extremely cool to have the thoughts and advice of this show in book form. Definitely looking forward to that.

I have to say, it's nice to hear someone saying that the audio podcast is still a powerful form. After the advances in video podcasting, I often wonder if people still believe in the audio side of it. I certainly do. Prior to doing it myself, I listened to four shows within podcasting's early days: Podcast 411, Daily Source Code, Accident Hash, and In Over Your Head. All four informed me greatly in terms of the possibilities, Julien's show in particular due to its hip-hop lean and his unforgettable rants. It's still a huge influence on me after six years of doing this.

And yes, it's rather strange that we still can't embed audio like we can video. Hopefully, things will get there soon. All the best to you and your family in 2012...
